Battle of Wyse Fork History and Driving Tour Audio

North Carolina Civil War TrailsOver a hundred years ago the thunder heard on the Civil War Battlefields of Lenoir County was that of the firing of muskets and the roar of cannons as they blasted across miles of land.

Today those battlefields are a mixture of farmlands, forest, business sites and lawns. However, the history of the land remains the same exciting story as it has always been; the fighting and struggles of men engaging in battle for what they believed was right and the toll that war took on their lives and our American conscience.Download this podcast and listen to the narrator as you tour the Wyse Fork Battlefield and surrounding area. Vivid descriptions of troop placements and movements bring history alive for you while you visit the sites fought over by Union and Confederate forces.

This podcast is a 15-minute long audio recording in MP3 format you can download and play on your iPod or other MP3 player, or burn to a CD to play in your car as you tour the area.
